Greetings World!
My name is Phil Ensminger, and I am a student of all things Media. I love sound, great video, computers, clever writing, softball, Asiago cheese bagels with jalapeño cream cheese (um….okay?), coffee, computers (yes, again), and acoustic guitar. I could go on, but really, that would take away our excuse to meet!
I am a geek, a perfectionist, and a student of life. I am a trained Audio Production Specialist. As an engineer, I have exposed myself to every learning/employment opportunity that I can get my ears on. From recording rock bands and operatic sopranos, production and field audio, post-production for short films, sound design for logos, battle scenes, TV, trailers, radio dramas, documentaries, cartoons, voice-over, ADR, music editing…if I haven’t done it, I want to. Every project seems to bring new challenges, and every new challenge reminds me of the adage – the more you know, the more you know you don’t know. I live by this reminder. There’s something to be learned from everything. From managing data systems to studying key commands to making sure there is Diet Coke in the studio fridge, production excites me – all of it.
This site is intended to serve as a cyberspacial (is that even a word?) portfolio within which I can introduce you to my work. I do more than production, and sometimes that’s hard to explain to people. A resume can only say so much. I love problem solving. I love creating. If the opportunity is there, I’ll be a graphic artist, a videographer, a voice-coach, a copywriter, a web developer, a code-writer, a producer, a taxi-driver (yes, that’s right….can you imagine how fun that would be?). Give me the tools. I’ll learn how to use them.
I blog because I like to. I have an insatiable enchantment with words, grammar…..and technology. Can you think of a better way to put them together? Fortunately for you (and the other 8 people that read my updates), I’m usually too busy working on those projects to write about them!
If you want to know any more about me or my work, check out my Twitter, SoundCloud, LinkedIN, portfolio site, Facebook, or shoot me an email via the “Contact Me” page. (Look up, top of the page, there it is!)
You’re getting a glimmer of how the world sounds through the ears of an audio engineer. So keep an ear to the ground, your eyes on the road, and enjoy it!
** This is a new world for me! If you have any input on how I could improve the site, tab over to the “Contact Me” page and drop me a note! Feedback (in this case) is appreciated! **

I like this Phil!! Nice work!!
